About this experience
The lenga beech is the iconic tree of Patagonia, and working with its beautiful reddish wood is an art form passed down through generations. In this hands-on workshop, you'll spend an afternoon with a master craftsman who has dedicated his life to this traditional skill. After learning about the lenga tree's importance to the region's ecology and culture, you'll create your own piece - a serving board, spoon, or small bowl - using traditional hand tools and techniques. Your finished piece, shaped by your own hands from Patagonian wood, makes the most meaningful souvenir imaginable.
